How You Can Make A Difference
When you donate to the Siddhartha Foundation, every pound, dollar or euro that is given, will make an immediate and direct difference to a young person’s life. Our charity is small, has low overheads and works on a person to person basis with our Nepalese colleagues - therefore your donation, of whatever amount, can make a child’s life better within a very short time. Just a few weeks after your gift is received in the UK, it will be transferred to Nepal and converted into tangible and positive action.
If you would like to help by making a donation, you can do this in several ways:
You can sponsor a particular project, such as educational resources, a bathroom and toilet facility, clothing, teachers’ salaries, food and medical care, construction of the new clinic and the girls’ school etc.
You can donate any amount you wish and just let us know your preference of how you would like your gift to be used.
Alternatively you can choose to become a main or a joint sponsor for a particular student.
A main sponsor donates £20 per month (or more) which covers all the direct expenses of that student’s individual welfare and education.
However, sums from as little as £5 (dollar and euro equivalents) per month can allow you to be a joint sponsor.
Once we receive a request from you to make a monthly commitment to help give hope and support directly to one of the students, we will send you a photo and details of the child who will have a special relationship with you. You can also write to that child direct by email or letter and they will correspond with you. All the students are learning English so this gives them a good chance to practice their skills!
All donations will be acknowledged by email or post and if you would like to speak to one of the Siddhartha Foundation volunteer staff please email us your phone number and we will get in touch with you.
